# User Credentials

To start using Plain Proxies's Datacenter Proxies, you must first go to [dashboard](https://dashboard.plainproxies.com/) and purchase a plan that fits your needs. After, your username and password will be created automatically.

Your **proxy username and password** are your credentials for accessing Unlimited Residential Proxies.

#### **Username & Password Management**

The username cannot be changed once it is created.

However, you can change your password at any time directly from the dashboard.

Please note that password updates may take a few minutes to fully propagate across our backend systems.

During this short propagation period, some connections may still require the previous password before the update is fully applied.
